Technical Visit

Course 1

RAON Facility - IBS

RAON (Rare Isotope Accelerator complex for ON-line experiments) is Korea’s flagship heavy-ion accelerator and a major large-scale research facility within the International Science and Business Belt.
Operated by the Institute for Rare Isotope Science (IRIS) under the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), RAON combines a superconducting linear accelerator (LINAC) with ISOL and In-Flight Fragmentation (IF) systems to support advanced rare isotope research.
During the technical tour, participants will explore the facility, gain insight into its capabilities, and learn about its role in global nuclear physics research.
